If you are reading this, probably there has been a supernatural disappearance of people from the earth (including me). A small percentage of the world's population, but still millions of people. If that is the case, what happened is what Christians call the
"Pre Tribulation Rapture".
Pre = before
Tribulation = terrible trouble
Rapture = catching up to God
Those taken up are those who truly love, trust, and obey God
Those left behind are those who did not make loving God and others their priority. Sinners or lukewarm.
The Bible predicts a terrible time of tribulation coming on the earth when God judges our sinful world. Most people in the world now ignore God and/or behave poorly. They simply ignore God, spending their time and money on other things, or are lukewarm in their service to God, or are sinning in things like: sexual immorality, pride, violence, lying, dishonoring parents, worldliness, etc. According to the book of Revelation, in this coming tribulation, it appears that at least half the earth's population will die.
Before God brings this terrible judgment, He will take those people who truly serve and obey Him up to heaven. God will leave behind many people who go to church and think they are Christians, but are lukewarm in their works of love toward God and man or have fallen back into sin.
There will be a 7 year period of tribulation before Jesus returns to rule the earth from Jerusalem. The last 3 1/2 years will be the worst part. The nations of the world will be aligned against Israel, Jerusalem will be trouble, many Jews will die, but God will save Israel in the end. Read Zechariah chapters 12, 13, and 14. Romans chapter 11. Jesus is the Jewish Messiah (anointed), the Christian "Christ" (anointed). Read the book of Revelation, Matthew chapter 24 (those "taken" are "taken" away from the judgment, just as Noah in the ark escaped the judgment.) Those left behind are the judged, just as those people left behind outside of the ark died in the days of Noah's flood.
Read chapters: Matthew 24, Luke 17 and 21, Mark 13, plus:
Thessalonians 4:15
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive and remain SHALL BE CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53
New King James Version
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMPET (on the Feast of Trumpets there are 100 trumpet (shofar) blasts, but the last one is different from all the rest). For the trumpet will sound, and the DEAD WILL BE RAISED incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Jesus says no one knows the day or the hour. The day of the Feast of Trumpets can fulfill that. It starts when the new moon is sighted in Jerusalem. However, that sighting can be difficult at times. It goes like this: Full moon --> Half moon --> Cresent moon that curves in one direction, then shrinks to zero, then cresent moon is sighted curving the other direction. Because it shrinks to zero and depending on weather, the sighting is imprecise. Thus it can fulfill "No one knows the day or the hour."
What if I am left behind? =======
You are in big trouble. Most people left behind will spend eternity suffering in hell. However, there is a chance you can escape it. Repent and follow God as described in the rest of this website. God is merciful. He still may save you and your family. But be willing to die for your faith in Jesus. Do not take the mark on your right hand or forehead. Read the Bible over and over. Concentrate on the New Testament at first. There will be parts you do not understand for awhile. Obey the parts you do understand.
Mark 13:13 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."
God says, "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heard."
